What I really watch most of the time is anime as well as other foreign shows. I don't have a favorite genre or song in music I like what ever sounds good to me or either makes me feel a particle emotion. My career goal is to be a programer for what specifically not totally sure just yet. My short term goals right now is just to make it to the end of this semester in one piece. I don't have a long term goal right now so I will just say enjoy like. My practical goal is to improve on some of my skills like time management, communication, and organization as well as many others. My big dream is to reach the point in my life were I don't have to do anything but look forward to sleeping all the time. I have two dog they are both jack Russell is named lamb because she is fat and white while the other is named snotty because of his personality. I think my would each describe me differently but the main points would be weird, a mystery, and always lost in thought.

Introduction to me
The best class I have taken so far is BIOSC 008 Human Biology. What I liked about the human biology class was due to many things not just the subject. It was a fun class to go to because of the teacher and my classmates made it fun, with cool activities and engaging conversation. It was also a bonus that we didn't have homework or quiz because she substituted them for other activities that helped use reenforce the material that we learned. I would say one of my biggest accomplishments was making this far and be able to attend college. During break i really didn't go anywhere or do anything exciting. I just mostly chilled with my friend who were back from school we did things like go to the movies, play video, go out to eat, and just plan do random stuff. I don't really have a favorite

Hi Timothy! Welcome to the class! Do you like being called Timothy? Tim? Let me know. My son is a Flash fanatic, so I am learning lots about that show. Haven't seen the movie you mentioned yet, but hope to before the Oscars. Let me know how I can help you with managing your time in a way that will help you succeed in this course. One suggestion would be to work ahead as much as you can so that you have some extra points "banked" for if and when other classes start demanding more of your attention.

ReplyDeleteGreat to meet you! I love classes that give you hands on projects to reinforce what you’re learning, rather than just lecture and test. I have found that I learn best that way—hands on. It sounds like you may have a busy semester ahead of you, I’m sure you’ll be able to get through it and just remember it’ll be over before you know it! Time seems to fly when you’re busy. ReplyDeleteIsn't it great when you just get that good vibe from a class? Whether its because of the classmates or teacher or the teacher's teaching method? It just makes you feel all around good and it even helps you learn better! You sound like a very chill person. I can definitely relate being that I don't do much either. Sci Fi is also one one my favorite genres. And it is OKAY not to have your life totally figured out right now and at least you're on the right path and doing SOMETHING with your life. A tip on the organization and time management skills, GET A PLANNER or just write everything down. Like important dates or "to do lists"; just write everything down and it'll help you stay focused and organized. I am still learning to be more organized. I can TOTALLY relate with you where you say you cant wait to reach the point where you don't have to do anything but look forward to sleeping. STORY OF MY LIFE.
Hey Timothy, I can totally relate to your love of anime and the sci-fi genre. There is actually an anime club at Pittsburg campus on Tuesday-Wednesday 2-4. My favorite anime so far is Fairy Tail and a close second is Blue Exorcist. I have not seen The Shape of Water yet but I want to because I heard a theory that the creature is the fish guy from Hellboy. My brother loves the Flash and I recently started the Magicians. I would find it awesome if I saw you in Anime Club and I can't wait to read your blogs in class.
ReplyDeleteHi Timothy. I think it’s really cool when classes are engaging and fun while also covering interesting topics and it’s nice that you had a bio class like that! I haven’t seen the shows you mentioned, but I love anime, I actually took a semester off after high school a few years back and spent that entire time watching anime after anime. I think it’s okay to not really have a long-term goal, just take things one step at a time and you’ll get to where you want to be. It’s cool that you have dogs, I have two dogs as well and they’re a huge handful!

ReplyDeleteI loving getting a class I can truly feel comfortable and see that being successful will be obtainable. I also enjoy sci-fi and my favorite movie from that type of genre has to be the newer version of the movie The Thing and how this alien kept outsmarting all of these people. I also feel ready for that time in life was more focused on things like sleep, and having fun with the ones you love all day, and having the money to do so.

ReplyDeleteHey Timothy! I have heard lots of good reviews of The Shape of Water but I still haven't seen it. Maybe I'll watch it this weekend. I also have not taken a single science class since I've been in college, which is 3 years now and it's probably because my major has nothing to do with science. I heard it's pretty hard to get enrolled in those classes since a lot of people try to sign up for biology and anatomy and chemistry. I'm glad you enjoyed that class though. I hope you finish off this semester strong and I look forward to reading your other work. Good luck!

ReplyDeleteIt seems that we share some interests, such as video games, sci fi, and anime. I also seem to not do anything grandiose whenever I have vacation, I just hang around at home or just hang out with friends if I can. Becoming a programmer could be great as there's probably a lot of jobs out there for programming so I do wish you luck if that's what your long term goal is!
